Pedestrian Killed In Central Islip Hit-And-Run Car Accident Along Hawthorne Avenue
CENTRAL ISLIP, NEW YORK (March 15, 2020) – A pedestrian was Killed in a hit-and-run car accident that took place on Hawthorne Avenue not far from Storey Avenue.
New York police officials are saying that the collision took place around 6:30 p.m. For reasons that remain under investigation a car hit the pedestrian and then fled the scene.
Police are still looking for the driver that caused the accident. The victim was taken to the hospital but later died due to his injuries.
