Pedestrian Killed In Riverhead Car Accident On West Main Street
RIVERHEAD, NEW YORK (December 4, 2019) – A pedestrian has tragically died after being hit by several cars as they were crossing West Main Street.
New York State Police are saying that the accident took place around 5:00 p.m. For reasons that remain under investigation a 72-year-old man was hit by a car headed eastbound.
After the initial collision the victim was then hit by another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victim.
He was taken to the Peconic Bay Medical Center and later pronounced dead. An investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
