Kaitlynn McNamara Lindenhurst: Colleen Curry, Kaitlynn McNamara Injured In Lindenhurst Hit-And-Run Car Accident on Sunrise Highway and North Delaware Avenue
NORTH LINDENHURST, NEW YORK (November 27, 2019) – Two pedestrians identified as Colleen Curry, Kaitlynn McNamara were injured in a hit-and-run car accident that took place on Sunrise Highway and North Delaware Avenue.
North Lindenhurst police are saying that the accident took place around 11:55 p.m. Both Colleen Curry and Kaitlynn McNamara were hit by a car traveling Westward.
Kaitlynn McNamara has since created a Facebook post asking the public for information about the driver. According to Kaitlynn McNamara, “Last night a friend and I were hit by a car on Sunrise Highway. The car blew a red light (most likely intoxicated) and hit us head on at around 70mph, leaving me injured and my friend in serious condition.”
Paramedics were called to the scene of the accident in order to help the victims. Colleen Curry and Kaitlynn McNamara were taken to the Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.
