One Person Injured In Irondequoit DUI Head-On Car Accident On Interstate 590 Freeway
IRONDEQUOIT, NEW YORK (November 30, 2019) – One person was injured in a head-on collision that took place on the Interstate 590 freeway.
New York state police are saying that the collision occurred around 1:35 a.m. Authorities are saying that one driver was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of the freeway.
The driver appears to have struck another vehicle. Authorities later determine that the wrong way driver had a BAC of 0.21%, nearly three times the legal limit.
One person was transported to the Strong Hospital. An investigation into the crash remains ongoing at this time.
