EDISON, NEW JERSEY (January 4, 2020) – A 44-year-old man identified as Oscar Zanoni has tragically died in a hit-and-run tractor trailer truck accident while riding a bicycle by Lukoil gas station on Route 27 near Vineyard Road.
New Jersey State Police are saying that the collision took place on Friday morning. For reasons that remain under investigation a semi-truck hit Oscar Zanoni as he was riding a three-wheeled electronic bicycle.
Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victim. Despite life-saving measures he later died due to his injuries.
Edison police officials said that the tractor trailer involved had a red cab. That truck was located several hours later and the driver was questioned.
No charges have yet been filed in the Edison hit-and-run truck accident that killed Oscar Zanoni. A Go Fund Me page has been set up for the victim’s family.
