Utility Worker From Whippany Injured In Metuchen Hit-And-Run Car Accident By Middlesex Avenue and Grove Street
METUCHEN, NEW JERSEY (March 9, 2020) – A utility worker was critically injured in a hit-and-run car accident with a pickup truck near the intersection of Middlesex Avenue and Grove Street.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 9:00 a.m. For reasons that remain under investigation a pickup truck that is possibly a Nissan Frontier hit the utility worker as he was in the crosswalk.
The pickup truck had an extended cab and markings on the side.
Paramedics were called to the scene of the accident in order to help the victim. He was taken to the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick.
