Woman Killed In Niagara Falls DUI Hit-And-Run Car Accident On Michigan Avenue Near 24th Street
NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK (December 1, 2019) – A woman has tragically died in a DUI hit-and-run car accident on Michigan Avenue and 24th Street.
New York state police are saying that the accident happened around 6:45 p.m. For reasons that remain under investigation a man in an SUV ran a stop sign and hit another vehicle.
The woman in that car was ejected and sustained serious injuries. She was taken to the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
Despite life-saving efforts she later died at the hospital. The driver that hit the victim fled the scene but was later arrested. He has since been charged with felony hit-and-run and DUI.
An investigation remains ongoing at this time.
