Liability In Car Accidents
It has been estimated that nearly 35,000 people are killed every year in car accidents. A disproportionate number of these accidents occur at intersections. Drivers may be speeding, distracted or have their line of sight interrupted. In total, nearly 94% of all accidents involve some amount of human error.
The family of any victim that died in a car accident may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim. Damages in a civil claim can help cover lost wages, medical bills, funeral expenses and emotional trauma. There are, however, statute of limitations associated with being able to file a claim. It is therefore important to act quickly.
